Tommy Hilfiger reported that net revenue and income for the second fiscal quarter both dropped from a year earlier. However, the company was quick to express its confidence that improvements in product design and assortment will put it back on track to profitability.

Net revenue was $533.3 million for the period ending September 30, compared to $561.6 million last year. And net income was $44.9 million compared to $76 million a year earlier. The company's retail division experienced a profit increase of 20.2 percent, and the childrenswear and licensed product businesses gained 3.7 percent and 6.6 percent in revenue, respectively.
