Tory Burch Opens Paris Store

Flagship maintains historic building’s residential roots

Tory Burch (New York) opened its eighth freestanding European store in Paris. The flagship store opening took place during the midst of the city’s haute couture fashion week and features multiple stores dedicated to various departments including handbags, housewares, leather goods, eyeware and ready-to-wear fashions.

Located at 412 Rue Saint-Honoré, the 4,200-square-foot store was designed by architect Daniel Romualdez, who worked to preserve the 19th-century building’s residential feel during renovations. For instance, the store features a curved staircase with a spindle balustrade and fretwork shelving, reports Women’s Wear Daily.

The store is painted in a palette of sea foam greens and pale blues, and its interiors feature patterned carpets, marble floors and brass fixtures. Photos of the designer’s parents serve as artwork throughout the store.
