Ulta to Sell MAC Cosmetics

Brands partner to begin selling MAC Cosmetics inside Ulta stores for the first time

Published

MAC Cosmetics (New York) announced that it will be making its products available in Ulta (Bolingbrook, Ill.) stores as a way to expand its customer base and recover sales lost from closing department stores and malls.

The products will begin being sold through the retailer’s website in May and then in select stores starting in mid-June. While the products will be in about 25 stores to begin with, it is expected that by the end of next year, they will be in about 100 Ulta stores total.

One reason for the shift to Ulta stores is that they typically attract different consumer traffic than malls because of their locations in strip malls. This will expose the brand to a new audience, Women’s Wear Daily reports.
