FFI Fragrances (Miami Lakes, Fla.) will add more scents to its 230-fragrance stable (which includes Halston and Geoffrey Beene) by the end of the year when it acquires Elizabeth Arden and Elizabeth Taylor brands from Unilever. Following the transaction, FFI is expected to be renamed Elizabeth Arden, and its Nasdaq stock symbol changed to RDEN.

Unilever is reportedly willing to let the lines go for an estimated $225 million to $240 million (in cash and stock). The deal will effectively double the size of FFI.
