The appointment marks Bailey’s return to Vans after holding several leadership roles throughout his 17-year tenure at VF.

Bailey was Vice President of Retail for Vans when the brand was acquired by VF in 2004. He was later named President of the brand, a role he served in from 2009 to 2016. Under his leadership, Vans revenue more than doubled to $2.2 billion, the company said. Most recently, he served as the company’s President, Asia-Pacific Region and Emerging Brands.

Bailey will continue reporting to CEO Steve Rendle.
