Autumn in Europe was a time to revel in colors and metallics, new fashions…and beer

The fall season brought new colors, themes and stories into European shop windows. As fashion became more sober and darker in shades, decorations changed in color and shine to create a contrast. Gold and metallic colors found in the new clothing collections were repeated in the backgrounds and props. The choices of story-telling and theatrical scenes required more than just a trendy mannequin and a new look. Unusual proportions, surprising effects, humorous allusions and gallery-like atmospheres contributed to lively displays.
