VMSD New York Editor Releasing Book Covering the History of Mannequins

Featuring exclusive interviews, the book will focus on the evolution of mannequins and their impact on the retail industry

VMSD‘s New York Editor Eric Feigenbaum has recently completed writing his book, “Profiles of the Mannequin,” to be released Sept. 5.

Focusing on the history and evolution of mannequins and their impact on the industry, the book will explore trends like representation through design as well as mannequins’ connection to art and fashion.

“Beautifully illustrated and engagingly told, fascinating in-depth interviews with creative professionals recount their experiences, philosophies, and stories of the mannequin and its impact on our culture as both a utilitarian object and as an artistic statement,” reads the synopsis.

In addition to blogging and writing regularly for both vmsd.com and VMSD magazine, Eric is the President of Embrace Design. He has worked in various roles across the industry from retail to design to education.
