The Cyber Group Network Corp. (San Bernardino, Calif.), a multimedia company aiming to improve the safety and security of Americans in everyday life, will open the first of its retail outlets tomorrow at the Fox Hills Mall in Los Angeles. The outlets will be selling audio surveillance equipment, wireless cameras, hardwired video transmitters, pin hole cameras, telephone tap detectors and other surveillance products and services, plus a range of books and computer software. At the same time, the company will be launching its SpyAmericaOnline.com web site.

According to the company's statement, “We are living in a time when we do not know who to trust or turn to. SpyAmericaOnline.com will be a good alternative. Parents need to know what their kids are doing. Companies need to know if their employees are friends or foes. It's sad to say, but a wife and husband need to know they can trust each other. SpyAmericanOnline.com helps deliver piece of mind and satisfaction by offering inexpensive, high-quality surveillance products and services.”

Through its retail division, The Cyber Group will be opening carts and kiosks, as well as stores, in malls managed by Westfield Management Malls and Independent Malls throughout the U.S.

The product line will consist of personal security products, child surveillance products, travel and home security products and office security products. “The FBI statistics state a violent crime against an individual occurs every 18 seconds and an assault occurs every 29 seconds,” said the company.

“The Cyber Group understands that we are living in an era of chaos that challenges our morality,” according to FBI director Louis Freeh. “Corporations are losing over $100 billion a year due to industrial spies. Companies have come to trust their competitors before they trust their own employees.”

SpyAmerica will consist of five divisions: the e-commerce site SpyAmericaOnline.com, where individuals as well as companies can order counter-intelligence and surveillance equipment; the retail operation; a franchise division, selling to individuals and companies who would like to open SpyAmerica retail outlets or purchase existing retail outlets; a corporate sales division that sells and rents its SpyAmerica equipment to government, schools and businesses; and the agent program for individuals wishing to sign up as independent agents and buy wholesale from SpyAmerica. The agent program is scheduled to roll out June 15, 2001.
