Williams-Sonoma (San Francisco) plans to open its first store in Quebec this month, at Carrefour Laval in Laval, Que. The 8000-square-foot store marks the eighth Williams-Sonoma store in Canada, and will be the first to showcase a brand new store design.

The new design elements include a newly designed, modern kitchen for chef appearances, technique lessons, and cooking classes. Demonstration stations throughout the store will allow for quick and easy access to the latest products and several terminals throughout the store will facilitate checking out.

“Opening a Williams-Sonoma store in Quebec is an important milestone for our brand in Canada. It was French cooking equipment that inspired our founder, Chuck Williams, to open his first shop in 1956,” says Richard Harvey, president, Williams-Sonoma. “We are excited to become part of a city so passionate about food and culinary experiences.”

Williams-Sonoma’s other Canadian locations include Sherway Gardens, Toronto Eaton Centre, Yorkdale Shopping Centre, Bloor Street West in Toronto, West Edmonton Mall in Edmonton, Chinook Centre in Calgary and Granville Street in Vancouver.
