Southeastern Grocers Inc. (Jacksonville, Fla.) has opened a new Winn-Dixie store in the Grand Cypress neighborhood in St. Johns County, Florida. The 41,500-square-foot grocery store is in a suburb of SEG’s hometown of Jacksonville, and is the first of three additional Winn-Dixies the grocer has planned for the state.

The forthcoming stores are in Jacksonville’s College Park neighborhood and Central Florida’s Apopka City Center. Details on when those stores will open was not immediately available.

“With the investment of our new stores throughout our home state of Florida, we look forward to supporting the growth and betterment of our communities and providing our customers with quality products at an affordable price, so they don’t have to compromise when it comes to nourishing their families,” Anthony Hucker, President and CEO of Southeastern Grocers, said in a news release.

In addition to Winn-Dixie, SEG is the parent company of Fresco y Más and Harveys Supermarkets throughout Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana and Mississippi.
