Yum Brands Grows in U.S., Stalls in China

Same-store sales grow 7 percent in U.S.

Yum Brands Inc. (Louisville, Ky.) reported a same-store sales growth of 7 percent in the U.S. while same-store sales in China declined, according to MarketWatch. The company also reported a 4.8 percent increase in second-quarter earnings. Yum is the parent company of Pizza Hut, KFC and Taco Bell, and has been focusing its growth efforts on emerging markets in recent months.
