Holiday window displays debut with a bang

A fireworks display from Bergdorf Goodman’s (New York) rooftop helped the department store unveil its holiday window displays last night. The festivities included a performance from the Broadway Kids Care choir and a UNICEF-partnered lighting of Bergdorf’s traditional holiday snowflake that hangs over the intersection of Fifth Avenue and 57^th Street, according to Women’s Wear Daily.

Bergdorf’s 2014 holiday windows, themed “The Arts” feature displays that celebrate literature (with needlepoint portraits of great authors), theater (with neon lights and a gold Julien Macdonald gown) and painting (with a model wearing a painted Dolce & Gabbana gown in a “workshop” with brushes and easels strewn about).
