Walmart Stores Inc. (Bentonville, Ark.) has signed a deal for its first Neighborhood Market grocery store in Los Angeles, reports Reuters.

The 33,000-square-foot store will occupy the ground floor of a senior housing complex on the edge of downtown Los Angeles' Chinatown neighborhood.

The smaller-sized format location will sell food and other everyday items. An opening date has not been set, spokesman Steve Restivo told Reuters.
