As India’s professional workforce grows, more young men are seeking appropriate business attire. Excalibur, a local specialty retailer, is jumping into that market with a stylish line of shirts, belts, jackets and ties and a simple tag line: “Live, work and play.”

Collaborating with Excalibur’s parent company, Arvind Brands (Bangalore, India), London-based designer JHP created a store concept that supports the retailer’s brand mantra.

The space is divided into sections dedicated to each category of Excalibur’s menswear collection – Business Hours, After Hours, Vogue, Royale and Vitals – making the search for everything from closet classics to the of-the-moment outfit more shoppable.

The background is neutral, with jolts of orange, yellow and black found in the light fixtures, lifestyle graphics and accent walls. Slate-gray flooring, an industrial-style slatted ceiling and stainless-steel accents on fixtures and hardware reinforce the masculine aesthetic.
