Aéropostale Seeks Business Counsel

Aéropostale (New York) has hired legal and business advisors to provide counsel regarding the possible restructuring or sale of the company. The retailer has brought in law firm Weil Gotshal & Manges LLP (New York) and financial adviser FTI Consulting Inc. (Baltimore) to provide a strategic review, reports Bloomberg.

The decision comes come as the retailer’s business has struggled over the past few years as customers’ tastes and shopping habits have shifted, and other efforts to turn business around have languished.

The retailer has not officially confirmed the news.
