Target to Raise Minimum Wage

New minimum will be $10 per hour, starting in May

According to Reuters, Target (Minneapolis) has plans to increase its store employees’ wages up to a minimum of $10 per hour at many of its retail stores.

The wage increases are expected to go into effect in May and will mark the second time the retailer has increased wages. Its first wage in April 2015 hike brought its minimum wage rate up to $9 per hour. Pay for workers who already make $10 is expected to increase, as well.

The company has not yet confirmed the report or provided information about which stores would be affected by the hikes, though.
