Fashion retailer trims work force, shuts down 'bridge' line

Calvin Klein Inc. announced it is shutting down its CK “bridge” line of men's and women's sportswear in the U.S. The mid-priced line, which generates approximately $50 million is annual sales, is reportedly the last business the New York fashion retailer manufactures itself. The company has also cut its 900-person work force by 10 percent. According to the fashion designer, both moves are part of a worldwide restructuring process.
