The new Ann Taylor Loft window installations evoke the drama of the stage

The new Ann Taylor Loft flagship in the heart of New York's Times Square takes its cues from the stage. Each window installation at the 42nd and Broadway store features the concept, “Loft girl on Broadway,” with bright lights and dramatic mannequin presentations.

“The mannequins include archival models interspersed with brand new poses to evoke the drama, action and fun suggested by a day or night on Broadway,” says Victor Johnson, senior manager of visual presentation for Ann Taylor and Ann Taylor Loft.

For the fall season, the Loft team created a virtual “Broadway overture” in the windows, using dozens of brass horns to create playful compositions with mannequins and fashion. In the October issue of VM+SD, Johnson will let us in on his secret to creating great visual presentations for Ann Taylor as well as the best advice he's ever received and what it's like to live in New York with a Texas accent.
