The “Vertical Fashion Show” conducted at Marshall Field’s flagship store in Chicago last year was named the “Best PR Event” by Event Marketer Magazine.

In September, Field’s (the department store division of Target Corp.), kicked off the store’s “Ultimate Renaissance Celebration” with fashion models rappelling down the exterior of the historic, recently renovated, State Street store, showcasing designer clothing and merchandise from a variety of Marshall Field’s new vendors.

“This over-the-top event was the highlight of an unbelievable array of special events that were part of our State Street Renaissance,” said Greg Clark, Field’s vp, creative services. “We are honored to receive this award for an event that thrilled more than 12,000 spectators who viewed in amazement as our models walked the vertical catwalk.”
