Awards and Competitions:

Nevamar Co. (Odenton, Md., manufacturer of high-pressure laminates) announced that the domino tables at Wayne's Kwik Shop in Temple, Texas, have won its High Mileage Countertop Contest. The competition, which honors surfaces that “look like 10 miles of bad road,” is designed to highlight the resistance to wear-and-tear that Nevamar's laminates provide. The tables at Wayne's Kwik Shop have non-Nevamar surfacing that's worn entirely through, exposing patches of brown where the color used to be.

LSI Graphics Solution Plus (North Canton, Ohio, provider of custom graphics) won first place in the interior graphics category in Chain Store Age magazine's Supplier of the Year Award. LSI's winning clients included Nebraska Furniture Mart and Sears Grand.
