Blake Krueger named president of footwear company

Wolverine World Wide Inc. (Rockford, Mich.), manufacturer and marketer of several lines of branded shoes, has named Blake Krueger president and chief operating officer.

Krueger had been executive vp of the company for 10 years, with responsibilities during this time for the human resources, retail, business development, accessory licensing, acquisitions and legal areas. Most recently, he had served as president of the Heritage Brands Group, one of the company’s four branded global operating units. In this role, he had global operational responsibility for the company’s Harley-Davidson footwear and CAT footwear operations.

“As president and coo, Blake will lead all of our branded operating groups as well as the company’s retail division and the Global Operations Group,” said Wolverine chairman and ceo Timothy O’Donovan.

Wolverine’s portfolio of brands includes Bates, Hush Puppies, Hytest, Merrell, Sebago and Wolverine. It is also the exclusive footwear licensee of CAT, Harley-Davidson, Patagonia and Stanley. Wolverine sells worldwide through department and specialty stores, independent distributors, catalog and Internet retailers, and about 70 company-owned retail stores in the U.S.
