Designers Think Pink for Minimalist Beauty Salon

A mirrored corridor is among the standout design features

LOCATED WITHIN A five-story building in Kyiv, beauty parlor Kimera features pink as its major color, paired with a powder-shade terrazzo floor. One of the salon’s founders is passionate about gothic architecture and Anime, so without being too over the top, designers from AKZ Architectura (Kyiv) peppered in subtle references to those passions – one standout example is a mirrored corridor with a reflection of a gothic castle connecting the main space with the restrooms and staff area. Helping to divide the main space for hair stylists and makeup artists is a modular pink sofa with poufs that can be rearranged.
