Fulham Co. Inc. (Los Angeles, lighting manufacturer and supplier) has appointed Tom Woods, long-time chief operating officer North America, to vp global product manager – fluorescent. In his new position, Woods will coordinate all development activities required to bring Fulham fluorescent programs to the market. The company also named Dennis Wells as chief operating officer in charge of North American operations.
Opus North Corp. (Chicago, full-service design-build real estate development firm) has named Matt Rauenhorst director of retail development and leasing. Rauenhorst will help manage all Opus retail activities throughout the U.S.

Marlite Inc. (Dover, Ohio, manufacturer of wall products) has achieved Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) chain of custody certification and Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI) chain of custody certification. This will allow Marlite to offer its customers FSC/SFI-certified products.
Frank Mayer & Associates, Inc. (Milwaukee) has completed the first round of interactive educational kiosks for photochromic lenses supplier Transitions Optical. The company is testing these units in select retail environments. Frank Mayer & Associates designed and produced the kiosk to educate consumers and store personnel regarding the variety of photochromic lens options available.
Witt Industries (Mason, Ohio) has appointed TRC Marketing Inc. as its newest representative for Witt’s full line of recycling and waste receptacles, outdoor furniture and site furnishings to customers in Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, Utah, and Wyoming.

The New York City Section of the Illuminating Engineering Society (IESNYC) announced the recipients of the 2010 Lumen Awards at the 42nd Annual Lumen Gala this June. The Lumen Awards recognize professionalism, excellence and originality in lighting design. Dallas-based Idea Planet LP, a marketing company that specializes in
entertainment properties for Hollywood Studios, took home this year’s Best in Show Award for its Disney•Pixar UP Display at this year’s Key Art Awards. The winning display features a working fiberglass replica of the type of scenic binoculars found in National Parks. Movie-goers press a button that activates the display and can look through the view-finder to see a trailer for the movie.
