Moschino Opens First U.S. Boutique

L.A. store features Jeremy Scott installation concepts

Moschino (Milan) opened its first U.S. boutique in Los Angeles this week. The 3500-square-foot Beverly Boulevard concept store is the first under creative director Jeremy Scott and features a simple white space and large plate-glass windows, through which passersby can see the large-form red soda can installations, with mannequins atop wearing graphic can-printed dresses.

Scott, a prominent figure in L.A. fashion design, is credited with bringing Moschino into the modern era with a broad social media following. A spokesperson for the company said Scott’s vision has succeeded in bringing a younger, trendier audience to Moschino’s ready-to-wear and accessories lines, according to Women’s Wear Daily.

The next Scott-designed stores will open in Milan and New York this spring.
