Tesco to Exit Japanese Market

Tesco PLC (London) is selling 50 percent of Tesco Japan to Aeon Co., Japan's largest retail group, in an effort to leave the Japanese market, The Wall Street Journal reports.

The supermarket company plans to form a joint venture with Aeon and invest $63 million, then sell the remaining 50 percent to Aeon at a later date.
