Hermes, Burberry, Gucci, Christofle and Tiffany’s have all agreed to be part of the retail expansion of Waterside Shops at Pelican Bay in Naples, Fla.

“The redevelopment is in response to the overwhelming demand from the Naples resident for a true luxury shopping experience,” said Nathan Forbes, managing partner for The Forbes Co. (Southfield, Mich.), which manages the property along with Taubman Centers (Bloomfield Hills, Mich.).

Forbes also announced additional retailers new to Naples, including Coach, BCBG, Tumi, Anne Fontaine, J. Jill, Anthropologie and Brooks Brothers. These retailers will be opening their first Naples location as part of the expansion and renovation that is currently underway. And several existing stores will expand their retail offerings by enlarging, remodeling, or relocating within Waterside Shops. These stores include Williams-Sonoma, Pottery Barn, Ann Taylor, Talbots, Gap, Cache, Lillie Rubin, and Crabtree & Evelyn.

Architectural improvements of the center have already begun and will continue throughout the year, allowing stores to remain open during the process. The reincarnation of Waterside Shops will focus on a more contemporary design reminiscent of the past, but encompassing current Naples design themes more in keeping with consumer’s lifestyles. Towering royal palms mark the entryways and the interior design will feature a 550-foot curved stone wall highlighting a dynamic water feature.
