Haggen Inc. (Bellingham, Wash.) will begin the conversion of its 146 recently acquired Albertsons and Safeway stores to the Haggen brand beginning next week. While all units will be converted to Haggen stores within the next four months, complete rebranding of the spaces will take up to a year, according to Supermarket News.

The 18-unit Haggen chain purchased the Albertsons and Safeway stores in Washington and Oregon, where it already operates, as well as in California, Arizona and Nevada, operating under the Albertsons, Vons and Pavilions banners.
