Lingerie brand Savage X Fenty (El Segundo, Calif.) has hired Hillary Super as its new CEO, replacing company founder Rihanna, Retail Dive reports.

The appointment was first reported by Vogue Business and confirmed in a LinkedIn post from Super.

Super takes over the position from Rihanna, who will remain as Executive Chair, according to the Vogue report.

Super was previously Global CEO at Anthropologie for about four years, before stepping down in April 2021, according to LinkedIn. Prior to that, she held leadership roles at Guess, American Eagle Outfitters and Gap Inc.

Super takes over as the lingerie brand ramps up its physical footprint. After opening its first store in Las Vegas last year, the retailer has since added six more bricks-and-mortar sites.

Speaking about its expansion into physical stores, the company told Vogue, “We have a highly engaged customer base with our DTC model, and also recognize that there is opportunity for us to expand further by meeting customers where they are and offering other avenues of accessibility.”
