Sears Announces More Store Closings

Includes Kmart locations in 13 States

Sears Holding Corp. (Hoffman Estates, Ill.) has announced it will close at least 17 more stores in mid-December with some sources citing that the total could be as high as 60. The affected stores include mostly Kmart locations in 13 states, reports Business Insider. These stores will begin liquidation sales on Sept. 22.

In July, Sears closed almost 80 stores, the majority of which were Kmart locations. In 2012, there were 1300 Kmart stores compared to the current total of 870.
