The North Face Names New Execs

The retailer has appointed a new Chief Marketing Officer and Chief Product and Merchandising Officer

The North Face (Alameda, Calif.) has named Sophie Bambuck as its Chief Marketing Officer and Jennifer Ingraffea as its Chief of Product Merchandising.

Bambuck was most recently Everlane’s first Chief Marketer, reports Retail Dive, and also spent more than a decade at Converse and Nike. Ingraffea previously held roles at Williams-Sonoma and the Gap. She also worked nearly 20 years at Nike.

Global Brand President Nicole Otto, The North Face, also a former Nike employee, says,“Sophie and Jennifer are the perfect consumer-centric leaders with deep experience driving both marketing innovation and product growth to help lead The North Face through its next phase of growth … As we continue to focus on consumer connections through innovative product, I know Sophie and Jennifer’s expansive industry expertise will help accelerate our own business and elevate our world-class global marketing and product development efforts to strengthen The North Face.”

The retailer recently reported a sales growth of 31 percent, and has been looking toward expanding its physical footprint as well as its digital capabilities.
